Hey Ford, I am on to you!

I dropped off my car for service the other day and saw this sitting outside the Ford showroom.
Granted, I have been intrigued by the various styles that seem to lack taste and are grabbing hold of the younger generation – but then again, I am sure my stuff looks equally strange.
But I have to warn those car buyers coming up in the ranks. RUN! The Ford Flex is a STATION WAGON!
Hot Dogs Endangered!
June 24, 2008 by mancrud · Leave a Comment
That is the number of hot dogs that are expected be senselessly consumed between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Sure, they are one of America’s hottest icons (insert Apple Pie and Baseball here) but at what price to the overall food consumption “circle of life?”
Do hot dogs not have feelings too? Are they not consumed at such an alarming rate that it jeopardizes the stability of the worldwide mustard or sauerkraut trade?
Why do hot dog buns come in packs of twelve while hot dogs come in packs of ten? *Sure it bothers some of us, but of the 50,000 consumer letters Oscar Mayer gets each year, only about 15 ever mention this as a concern.
I think Bratwurst run a close second in overall “dog like” consumption – but only if the Green Bay Packers are playing that weekend.
The ACLU and like organizations need to address these hot dog injustices before it gets out of control – Fourth of July is just around the corner!

Bible Holds Secrets to Weight Loss!
I get a kick out of all the ways you can “easily” lose weight and all the amazing “secrets” that are discovered on an almost daily basis. I think my favortite was in my email inbox today.
“The Flat Stomach Pill”
Sure, the name says it all. But what about the “science” behind it?
“When chemistry professor Kazuo Miyashita and his colleagues at Hokkaido University in Japan fed obese mice this compound, called fucoxanthin, the mice produced high levels of protein involved in fat burning, and they shed 2 to 5 percent of their body fat, mostly from the abdomen…”
Wow! What a Statement!
- First off, wasn’t “Kazuo Miyashita” in that Karate Kid movie?
- “Hokkaido University?” Must be a real tough school if we can’t pronounce it!
- “Japan?!” That is over the ocean where the smart people live right?
- “Obese Mice??”
- “Shed 2 to 5 percent of body fat?” Don’t they have those wheel things to run on anyway?
And to think all this time I was trying a radical “move more, eat less” diet like the The 7 Principles of Fat Burning: Get Healthy, Lose Weight and Keep It Off!
